Expert Care Without the Wait.

Private Registered Nursing for Advanced Health Needs

As healthcare systems become increasingly stretched, many people are left waiting for answers or struggling to navigate complex health concerns on their own. Island Nursing was built to help fill those gaps. Our Registered Nurses provide advanced clinical care focused on timely assessment, skilled treatment, practical teaching, and clear guidance for individuals and families facing complex health needs.

We work alongside you to assess concerns, provide treatment, teach practical strategies for managing your health, and help navigate the healthcare system when it feels overwhelming. With decades of clinical experience and a strong commitment to the communities we serve, our nurses provide thoughtful care that helps people feel supported, informed, and confident about their next steps.

Island Nursing provides support in areas where timely care has become harder to access. Many people are referred from one service to another, placed on long waitlists, or told their concerns are not severe enough to be seen quickly. Others fall between programs or struggle to meet referral criteria, leaving individuals and families managing complex health issues on their own. Our nurses help by providing skilled nursing assessment, care, and education — including services such as TB skin testing, wound care support, specialized foot care, ostomy care and troubleshooting, circulation and compression assessments, and nursing guidance to help clients better understand and manage their health.

When additional medical care or follow-up is needed, we work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to help ensure clients receive the appropriate next steps in their care.

Island Nursing is built around one core idea

Where skilled, consistent care meets a team who truly knows you, better outcomes follow.

Our nurses work closely together, providing continuity of care, clear communication, and thoughtful support so clients and families never feel like they are starting over with someone new. By working as a coordinated team, we are able to respond thoughtfully to changing needs while ensuring care remains personal, attentive, and reliable.

Skilled Nursing Care When Health Can’t Wait

When health concerns change quickly or care can’t wait, having an experienced nurse you can call on can make all the difference. Island Nursing provides expert private nursing care focused on timely assessment, decisive action, and practical guidance to help reduce uncertainty, intervene early, and prevent complications before they escalate.

Based in the Comox Valley, Island Nursing supports clients from Campbell River to the Parksville–Qualicum Beach area. Our nurses provide advanced clinical care that can be difficult to access through standard community services, offering timely assessment, experienced clinical judgment, and coordinated nursing care when health concerns require skilled attention.

Appointments are available both in clinic and in the comfort of your home, allowing care to be delivered with privacy, convenience, and continuity. Every care plan is led by nurses with specialized training who work as a coordinated team, ensuring clients receive consistent care from nurses who know their history, evolving needs, and care priorities rather than a rotating group of unfamiliar providers.

For clients receiving ongoing care, individualized care plans may include coordinated nursing support and after-hours guidance when clinically appropriate, allowing our team to respond promptly and thoughtfully when new concerns arise.
